I am so tired, it's not even funny!
Saturday, I spent the whole day running around with Pookie.
Sunday, I went to my mom and dad's to meet my girlfriend and drop off her Avon order. After she left, I ended up falling asleep and staying at my parents much later than planned. So, then Jr. complained that he didn't get to see his girls (meaning Pookie and Boo - not me) all weekend. Well, Boo made up for that by staying up miserable and cranky until 1 a.m. *sigh*
Monday, I came to work, and was overwhelmed again by my job and the other woman's job. Then I had an argument with my boss (I guess it is better when he doesn't speak to me) because I had to leave to take Boo to the doctor's and was going to be coming back one hour before the end of my shift and wanted to just keep her with me (she would sit in her carrier by my desk) and he threw a fit. Well, I threw one back because there is a woman who works in our mail room who has her daughter here EVERY day for three hours! :P I was not happy. Luckily, mom and dad came through for me!
So, why did I take Boo to the docs? Well, when she got miserable on Sunday night, I knew something was terribly wrong. She's always so happy (even when ill), that I knew something wasn't right. So, I took her and she has an ear infection, a cold and possibly asthma. The doctor said "we don't like to say it's asthma so young, but...." She is the one who officially diagnosed Pookie at 22 months with Asthma. So, Boo is taking Amoxicylin (for the ear infection) Tanafed (??)(for the stuffy nose) and Albuterol through Pookie's breathing machine (and it's even Pookie's Albuterol prescription) (for the wheezing/asthma). So, this poor kid really doesn't know what's going on. Yesterday she started the treatment fine, but then started screaming and flailing uncontrollably. This morning, she started out screaming and then suddenly went limp. Jr. freaked out and looked at me and (no lie) said "I think I broke her". Well, she'd just fallen asleep (which is rare for a child taking Albuterol - a stimulant - but not a surprise - since Pookie did the same thing when she first started). Luckily, she loves the other two medications (especially the Amoxicilyn) so those are easy to give her. :)
Yesterday was my best friend Doc's birthday! :) She turned 31 and since I forgot to call her on her 30th birthday, I was sure not to miss yesterday! We are going to get to see each other on Sunday which will be wonderful! :) Pookie is excited, she hasn't seen Aunty Doc in forever (since Christmas) and that is her godmother. :) I can't wait to see her...it will be worth another day of running around like crazy to see her! :)
So, that's it for now. Got paid Friday and I'm adding some more adoptions to the adoption shoppe and will be sending an update out shortly. :) Hope you are all having a great day! :)
