Due Date- Thursday, April 15-"The Princess and the Pea" -Idiosyncrasies. Just like the princess who was so fussy that she could detect a pea placed under piles of mattresses, we all have our peculiar characteristics. For example, I have to have a down pillow to sleep on and I take mine with me when I travel. Tell us about some of your idiosyncrasies that make you the princess you are.
Oh, I am sure that a lot of people would have a lot to say about this when it comes to me. I think there are two things I do which are the most obvious and seem to annoy the most people. The first is that I cannot handle it when I am eating and the food on my plate is touching. It upsets me greatly and makes it difficult for me to eat. Divided plates were made for people like me. I have even been known to get up and wash my plate in the middle of a meal if I'm going to eat something else. This also goes into choosing what foods I eat, if I don't think something belongs together in a dish, then I won't even touch it. My poor husband is a very creative cook and he has such a hard time remembering to ask if what he's making sounds edible to me.
The other thing that I do only seems to annoy my husband, and it shouldn't. When I'm folding laundry, especially the girls' laundry, I make sure every snap, zipper, button, etc. is fastened. I really have no idea why I do this, but I do. My husband gets upset because then before he can dress the girls (on the rare occasions that he does this), he has to undo every snap, zipper, button, etc.
I never thought of myself as a princess before, but after finishing this assignment, that's exactly what I feel like. I'm still not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
